Autumn Wind, Holkham Bay






This piece, central image of a triptych in pastel, thread and wool on glass paper, was inspired by a visit to the bay in Norfolk. 

Isolated from the land behind  by a strand of fir trees, the sand was a shifting, whirling expanse of eddying spirals, rushing, driven by the power of a biting wind.
