Saint Peter, called by Christ Cephas or Petrus, the Rock, is shown here in the "net" of stitches, as the "fisher of men". Although suddenly flooded with doubt as he walked toward Jesus on the water, the Lord still chose this flawed but loving man to be the earthly leader on which to build His church.
