Of Angels and Mermaids
These
two images show details from a panel depicting key scenes from the
story, "The Little Mermaid" by Hans Christian Andersen.
On
completion, it was exhibited at the "Riches of Stitches 2000" Exhibition
with the Embroiderers' Guild at the Herbert Museum and Art Gallery, Coventry.
Choosing this tale as the theme for my studies within the Embroiderer's Guild 
Development Scheme, the piece was photographed and displayed on a poster within the exhibition as illustrative of innovation in the field of modern embroidery.
